Daily Life

Do you serve lunch?

Yes. We provide lunch delivered fresh every day by Naked Nosh. Lunches are included in our fees.

In addition, fruit, vegetables, plain rice cakes, breadsticks, hummus, cream cheese, and bread are available for children at morning and afternoon snack time.

Can children sleep at Casa?

Yes. Children staying until 3:00 pm or 5:00 pm who need a nap will sleep after lunch in a quiet area of the school under the supervision of a teacher.

Languages

Which languages are offered at Casa Montessori?

We offer English, Spanish, French, and Italian. All our teachers are native speakers of the language they teach.

Will my child be confused by a multilingual environment?

Children exposed to two or more languages simultaneously will naturally mix languages — this is a completely normal part of the process of acquiring a second language, not a sign of confusion.

Young children are born with the capacity to learn languages just as readily as they learn to walk or talk. Research consistently shows that multilingualism enhances cognitive development, fosters positive relationships, and builds positive self-awareness.

Is Casa Montessori only for children whose parents are bilingual?

Not at all. Our multilingual and multicultural approach aims to expose all children to the different sounds and phonics of different languages, regardless of whether their parents speak any additional languages.

My child has English as a second language. Will they learn English?

Yes. Our curriculum provides an outstanding educational and developmental programme in all languages in a balanced way, while specifically preparing children to enter the British primary education system. We teach phonics in English.

Our Approach

Is the staff qualified in Montessori education?

Yes. Our teachers hold a Montessori diploma (from Teaching Assistant level up to Level 4) and have extensive experience in a Montessori environment. We obtained our Montessori accreditation in July 2023 and use traditional Montessori materials throughout.
